We are thrilled to announce Eduardo Peralta’s upcoming visit to the San Francisco Bay Area and Eugene, Oregon this May!

Eduardo is a talented wordsmith and virtuoso guitar player with more than four decades sharing his music in Chile, France and the United States. A courageous musician who remained in Chile during the harshest years of the dictatorship, he took the stage with unparalleled wit and creativity.  His accolades abound including his recognition from the French Order of the Arts and Letters (Ordre des Arts et des Lettres) and the SACEM Grand Prix.

For several decades Eduardo has been hosting weekly presentations at the Meson Nerudiano in his native Santiago and over the years has collaborated with more than one hundred musicians from Chile and abroad… He and Rafael Manriquez shared an unusually honest and generous friendship, each hosting their counterpart when they visited. Rafael recorded two of Eduardo’s songs, “El gato” in his Pajaro Vuela album and “Golondrina Chilota” in his Smithsonian recording.  

Eduardo Peralta will be participating in the Rafael Manriquez Fest at La Peña Cultural Center on May 4th, followed by two house concerts on May 5th and 7th in Berkeley, California.
